for the 2003 national championship! What a travesty. I am glad my friend Sinton 66 didn't watch it. Getting beat 6 to 0 in soccer is like getting beat 36 to 0 in football. Very one sided. UNC had no competition in the playoffs because they won all the games by at least 2 points (12 - 0 in football) and were never threatened and no close edge of the seat excitement or any overtimes or pk games. It is great for UNC but not women's soccer. And UNC recruits the best players and will probably keep dominating (remember my post). At least before this year even though they won most of the national championships at least there were some close thrilling games. But maybe no more. This may cause fans to lose interest in NCAA women's soccer and though it will survive it will not thrive like they thought it would when our women beat China in in 1999. We will see but I am worried. I am sure Sinton 66 and PPHS share my concerns. :)
