3A Division 2 winner

Has anybody looked at who is going to be the Division II winner? All of the powerhouses are going to go Big School. Who has the best chance of winning Small School?

if longview spring hill goes div. II they might have a pretty good chance.

Im going out on a limb and saying greenwood and sweetwater both have a shot at winning it, but they both have a good oppurtunity to play each other in the first round of the playoffs, Greenwood seems to always get a bad draw, just like last year when they drew the Crane Golden Cranes.

And if that happens I will have to go with the Mustangs over the rangers!!

We need some major improvements before we even THINK about going that far.

I like Bridgeport, Daingerfield, Newton, and Burnet in the semis, with Daingerfield and Newton meeting in the finals; a rematch of the '98 division 2 game.

Burnet is div.1 no matter what.They are the largest school in 25-3A.I wish we were in div.2 this year.

Damn, they are,arent they? I dunno what I was thinking. Well, I dont think it really matters who comes outta region IV in div2. Newton will probably take'em.

J2K, I don't think Burnet will go D2, aren't they the largest school in their district? Or were you talking about '98?

What could happen in district 23 if Stafford or Navasota make the 3rd spot for the playoffs (They will probably have to beat Columbus out for it) the top 2 teams, which will most likely be Bellville and Sealy will go D2, and either of them could give Newton some trouble in Region 3.

Reg.3 div.2 is loaded this year.You can't count out LaGrange,Cameron or Marlin.I think Newton is the best so far, but I don't see LaGrange being far behind.They are still LaGrange.

Anybody can pick a team to win state. My pick is Newton. They have a good football program year in and year out. It really doesn't matter who is good enough to win it all because when it comes down to it there are too many factors in each individual playoff game. Nervousness and adrenilane are just a few. At any given moment a game can turn on you and there aint nothin you or the team can do about it. That is why I love football. You just can't beat it.

Kennedale lost their status as a state contender with me when they lost to Crandall. Not that Crandall's not good, but if they can hang 32 points on Kennedale, there's no way they can stop Daugherty Airlines.

I think Division II will end up maybe Newton vs Perryton.

I think Newton will make a deep run in the playoffs this year. Whether they can win it all or not this year is yet to be seen. I wouldn't bet against them. The thing about Newton is that they will be better next year.

If you think that Kennedale is not a state contender then you are crazy. That was Kennedales first game. That was Crandalls second game. Kennedale went up 13-0 and then just died. They had dumb penalties that stoped them. Since then the have beaten 2 4A teams FW South Hills and Dallas Smith. Not to mention they have Everman this week.
But whatever yall think. We will see in a few monthes.

Right now I like Newton but remember that Bellville will go D2 if Navasota makes the playoffs. They would have the ability to make a run at the title in D2.
