I've seen by Buckeyes anywhere from #2 (Collier-Sharp) to unranked in the pre-season Dallas Morning News polls, and I have yet to see anyone on this site question the Buckeyes' talent or chances. I was looking forward to defending them, but no one has attacked. Does everyone agree that they are a contender, or does only 5% or so of this site care about Region II? Throw me a frickin' bone here!! Go Buckeyes!!! Seriously, do y'all think they are legitimate or not?

Well excuse ME! Kennedale is and will end up in Division II unless Everman somehow messes up the rest of the games this season (not likely). Everman will be in Div I

Hey Gobbla, what are the Gobblers lookin' like these days? I remember when every single year, Cuero, Edna, Columbus, and all those South Texas teams were perennial top ten teams.

I believe Gilmer has a very good team this year. It seems as if they may be a LITTLE inconsistant at times, but that is just from their scores that I've seen, not from actual eye-witness. I think the Buckeyes have a legitimate chance of getting out of Reg.II Div.II, if they can get over the Daingerfield hurdle.

Here's a list of Reg.IV teams Buckeye

Burnet
Liberty Hill
Wharton
Rice
Yoakum
Cuero
Sinton

Thanks, I thought those were the Region IV schools, I just wasn't sure. You are right about the inconsistencies. I think our kids are looking at the newspaper too much. It seems like the games they are supposed to win by alot, they play as if the other team is just going to roll over. Our biggest asset is offense. I've said it, and I honestly believe it; no one in the state (Burnet, Gainesville, and Forney included) can stop our offense. Trying not to sound too much like a homer, I believe we have a real shot to do something special this year. By the way, where are the Sinton Pirates this year. They are usually a top ten team. Go Buckeyes!!!

I went to a Gilmer game this year. They are the real deal. And with Lindale in their district they are a shoe in for division 2.

My guess is that winner of the playoff game between Gilmer and Daingerfield has a really good chance at being the Region 2 D2 rep. Of course they will have to get past Celina.
