Vernon Lions Vs. Canyon Scrimmage

Both the Lions & Eagles Scored one Touchdown Each in the controlled portion of the scrimmage.
The 18 minutes game-situatuion portion of the scrimmage was scoeeless until the very last play,when vernon Matt Gonzales intercepted a canyon pass and returned it 80 yards for a touchdown.
Unofficially,the Lions had 245 total yards of offense with 134 Rushing and 111 passing vernon tb Davenport had 95 yards rushing while qb J. Nash completed 7-of-11 passes93 yards and a touchdown.

Sounds like a good example of the change in the fortunes for those 4A's that just barely dropped into the enrollment of 3A. Vernon is a good team! A toss-up scrimmage should send signals as to what Borger and Canyon are capable of, toward the end of the season, when they have so many reserves to call upon- toward the depth factor, in post season games.
