Not sure how much rumor is still floating around but this is an email from Jeff Hanks (Burnet Superintendant) regarding the game/seating.

Hope it helps...

Subject: Friday Night Football
Importance: High

What a great opportunity we have this Friday night to show class and
sportsmanship as we travel to Liberty Hill to support our Bulldogs as
they compete for the district championship in football. There are not
many times when two teams meet in the final game of the regular season
with perfect records. Friday night football does not get much better
than this. I am sure the community of Liberty Hill is just as proud
of their team as we are of ours.

There have been a tremendous number of rumors running rampant
throughout the town regarding Friday night's football game. Some of
them have been so crazy that you look at the person spreading the
rumor and wonder if there really is a brain in there. Here are my
answers to some of the rumors:

Rumor: The game has been moved to Leander
Fact: The game will be played in Liberty Hill. One of Leander
ISD's schools is playing at Leander's stadium. I don't think the team from Cedar Park would want to move their game from Leander's stadium to Liberty Hill so Burnet and Liberty Hill can play in Leander.

Rumor: Bring all of your old groceries from your refrigerator so
you can throw it during the game.
Fact: This is when I thought, "Is there really a brain in there?"

Rumor: Liberty Hill is planning to have all of their people take
over the stadium so Burnet fans don't have any seats available to them. (I have also heard that Burnet is planning the same thing.)
Fact: The gates will open at 6:00 p.m. There are 3 gates available
for ticket sales and entry, each gate staffed with 2 ticket sellers and 2 ticket takers. The gates are located at the following locations: Gate 1- southwest corner of the stadium; Gate 2 - South side of the stadium; Gate 3
- East end of the stadium.

Rumor: They are only going to allow 2500 people into the stadium.
Once they have sold that many tickets no one else can enter the stadium.
Fact: Tickets will be sold to all who want to attend. Seating is
limited, as it is in most stadiums. The visitors side will seat 1176 fans. Liberty Hill ISD has borrowed 6 sets of portable bleachers from BCISD to be placed on the visitor's side. This will increase their seating on the visitor's side to approximately 1500. Our band and Highlandettes will be seated on the track in chairs. You are encouraged to bring folding chairs if you would like.

Tickets are $5.00 for adults and $3.00 for students. All tickets are
general admission. There are no reserved seats. There will be no
pre-sale of tickets in Burnet or in Liberty Hill. Parking attendants
are scheduled to be working at approximately 5:00 p.m. All other
stadium employees are scheduled to report at 5:30. Tickets may go on
sale a little before 6:00. The gates will open for entry to the
stadium at 6:00. District passes, employee passes with proper
identification, gold passes for patrons over 65, and press passes will
be honored as they are at all district competitions. Parking is
available in the parking area southwest of the stadium. Once that has
filled up, overflow parking will be directed to an area east of the
stadium. You will be directed where to park by the parking
attendants.

There is no doubt that there will be a large crowd at our football
game Friday night. It is the game of the week in our area. There are 9
undefeated teams in AAA, this is the only game where two of them go head to head. I would expect this game to draw not only Burnet and Liberty Hill fans but many football fans from around the area. Everyone will not be able to have a seat in the stands. I do appreciate the efforts of Dr. Andrews, Superintendent of Liberty Hill ISD, as he makes plans to accomodate the people that will attend.

Burnet CISD students and fans have always represented our communities
with well. I have no doubt that we will continue to do so this Friday
night. Come out and support the Bulldogs as they compete with
Spirit...Pride...and Honor for the District 25 AAA championship.

Jeffrey M. Hanks, Superintendent
Burnet Consolidated ISD

No prob spaniard you had to trust someone. I just wanted everyone to be aware of the actuals so they don't decide not to go b/c of the rumors. No one knew for sure what was happening and this email cleared up all the speculations...

Hope everyone can make it...I'll be there...
