Diet Snapple 16 oz $1.29 -- $10.32 per gallon

Lipton Ice Tea 16 oz $1.19 -- $9.52 per gallon

Gatorade 20 oz $1.59 -- $10.17 per gallon

Ocean Spray 16 oz $1.25 -- $10 .00 per gallon

Brake Fluid 12 oz $3.15 -- $33.60 per gallon

Vick's Nyquil 6 oz $8.35 -- $178.13 per gallon

Pepto Bismol 4 oz $3.85 -- $123.20 per gallon

Whiteout 7 oz $1.39 -- $25.42 per gallon

Scope 1.5 oz $0.99 -- $84.48 per gallon

and this is the REAL KICKER......
Evian water 9 oz for
$1.49 -- $21.19 per gallon $21.19 FOR water,
and the buyers don't even know the source.

So, the next time you're at the pump, be glad your car
doesn't run on water, Scope, or Whiteout, or Heaven forbid, PEPTO
BISMOL or NYQUIL!!!!

Leave it to you to put a whole new twist on things!! I'm spoiled, my husband ALWAYS puts gas in my car - I don't have a clue what gas costs!!

From someone whose family is in the petroleum industry....THANK YOU! Most of the cost of gasoline is taxes....Not the case in the items you listed. They aren't taxed until you purchase them.....AND WATER IS NON-TAXABLE!! eek! eek!

Good Point Sinton66. Do you think stamps could be included? I know the amount isn't much but the percent increase is. I remember when stamps used to be 5 cents but now they are 37 cents which is an increase of 320%. Thank goodness gasoline wasn't that fast an increase in percentage.

In 1983 gas was $1.00 a gallon.

Twenty years later gas is $1.50 a gallon.

In 1983 I rented a Very Nice North Dallas apartment for $300.00 dollars a month.

Twenty years later that same apartment that is twenty years older is costing somebody $1200 bucks a month.

And todays gasoline is fresh. :D
