It was a crazy game. The first 4 kickoffs were onside kicks. Ingram recovered all 4 (2 in which they kicked). Burnet ran maybe a total of 25 offensive plays, including a 97-yard touchdown run by #20.

Do you know what #20's name is? I'm sure we'll be hearing on Friday's next year.

Heard Coach Shipley dropped a few back-up varsity players, just so they wouldn't lose to an undefeated Ingram JV team. What is up with that? That is kind of low, don't you think?

My sophomore year, our JV team was undefeated going into the last game. We played West Campus the last game. Well, it was the Thursday before grades came out, so the Varsity coach for West Campus dropped down everybody who was failing, which was alot, from varsity to JV. We still ended up beating them by about 21.

Two players dropped and they were both guys that have maybe taken a combined 15 snaps on the varsity all year. I don't think this would be considered "dropping players to win". Besides one of them was playing with the JV last week when they lost. And just FYI, it was HIS choice, not Coach Shipley's.

SO, HB #20 for the JV hasn't been on kickoff for Burnet at all. I could have SWORN I saw that guy on kickoff on game film. Must be another 20 with the varsity logo on his helmet and same height and build.

Yeah, I had heard that Burnet had several guys with varsity logos on their helmets, but I didn't think Coach Shipley would stoop to that level just to win a jv game.

It is rather interesting, though, considering Ingram's JV and Wimberley's JV both beat Llano by about the same score, and Wimberley beat Burnet.

one of the dropped players was dropped by coaches decision, he took my little brother's spot bc my brother broke his right hand/finger goofing off the other day after practice. my brother was the center for the jv team, and now he wont get to play again till next season, so i guess he wont goof off anymore. hehe, he was doing something like what his big brother would do...

All right guru boys, heres the scoop. Number 20 has played on JV all season with the exception of one pre season game against Killeen Shoemaker. The JV team had a rain out and about 4 of our JV players were moved up for the night (ahhhh, the varsity logos!) and were able to get in a couple of plays. They were all moved back down the next week. The only other players that were moved down were Number 10, who was a reserve receiver on varsity and a 3rd string lineman (not sure of his number, was moved down this week because I was told the JV center broke his arm or something?). No. 10 had very little play time and requested that he be moved down so he could play. He was moved down before the wimberLEY game. As paintball has already told you, one of our best JV receivers was actually moved up to varsity this week and is in the process of helping the Bulldogs wup your varsity as I post. No underhanded conspiracy here, you guys just need to work a little harder next time. :D :D
