2024 - 2026 Realignment

Looking at who will be where for 4A-1.

- D1 - 5 present schools here will remain - New could be EP Ysleta. Clint shows to opt up to 4A-1, I assume Clint Mountain View and Fabens will opt up also.
- D2 - Lubbock Estacado moves to 4A-2 - this leaves 4 schools.
- D3 - 5 present schools + Canyon West Plains moves to 4A-1.
- D4 - 3 present schools -- Burkburnett goes to 4A-2, and Whita Falls is no more.

Who will move to Region 1 to make up these districts.

- D5 - loses W La Vega to 4A-2 - leaves 4 remaining teams.

- 6 new 4A-1 schools in Austin area - Jarrell to 4A-1, A Eastside opting up to 4A-1, possible that A LBJ, A LASA, A Travis, and A Northeast will not opt up Will stay 4A-1.

- Region 4 -
- D13 - same present teams
- D14 - Boerne to 5A-2, will SA Memorial go 4A-2 or opt up and stay 4A-1, other 4 schools remain.
- D15 - 5 present schools, Rockport-Fulton to 4A-2.
- D16 - 6 present schools, Alice to 5A-2 and RGC Grulla to 4A-1.

With Anna going 5A, maybe Celina slides over to join that North Texas D-I district.

Frisco Panther Creek looks for real as a contender and Dallas Carter pushed them a little, but their district is two stallions, a yearling and a bunch of goats.

- Port Isabel may opt up to 4A-1

Port Isabel will not opt up. That is direct from PI's AD/HFC himself. PIISD turned in 593 for their snapshot # to the UIL. It can possibly be top of 3A D1, or very bottom end of 4A D2 especially if Carl Padilla's projections are close to accurate.

Regardless, PI is OK with the hand it is dealt. Though being in 3A would be better travel wise as well as competition wise for the Tarpons, as long as it ends up being a 5 team district with PI + 4 CC area schools in 4A D2 (2 home district games / 2 away district games) that's cool with the AD/HFC

Padilla predicts the Bottom of 4A will be 590 and the Top being 1399.

This would be a huge shift for several schools if he is within 10 either way.

Are there any other predictions that are similar?

No telling what UIL will do. Will know more maybe next week when UIL gives out the cut off numbers. Then can try to guess what districts will look like until UIL provides that on Feb. 1. 2024.

Carl Padilla shows Stephenville moving back to region 1 in a district with us, Alvarado, San Angelo something (Central maybe), and Big Spring.

1399 would put Denison in 4A. I'll believe it when I see it.
