Some of QB Triston Handson video of 2 scrimmages vs Kingsville King and Cuero and 2 games vs Beeville Jones and Port Lavaca Calhoun. Didn't make it to Rockport game.

Should be a good game.

Hoping I can make it, I'm off Thu-Sat but I'm on call for work this coming weekend so try and get out of it for Friday.

I'd like to think that this will be a close game, but very doubtful. Bears have a very good passing game looking at their stats, so Pirates secondary is going to be busy. Running game is pretty good too it seems. Huge offensive line to run behind. In short the Sinton D is going to be in for a long night it looks like. It seems the injury bug has come back to haunt Sinton as well just not as bad as last year. Both inside linebackers were scheduled to sit out the Edna game. If they're not ready to go Friday, the Bears running game could be pretty productive. I believe La Vernia wins this by at least 21 points.

Maybe. Not sure LV will be 100% either. Will it matter? Don't know, but there will likely be a few different dynamics around this one, so past performance only tells part of the story.
Overall, this is LV's most talented and well-coached team that I've seen in 40+ years of watching them. Hopefully, that translates to success this season and next. As with any team, they need to keep key players healthy and available come playoff time to make a serious run.
If they can do that, they have the tools.

Well they may be the best in 40+ years but I remember the 2000 Bears that gave La Grange the best game in their playoff run to the State Championship losing 28-27. Coach had our guys take a knee to run out the clock at the 1 yard line rather than score a td and give the Bears the ball with 40 seconds on the clock as they were so capable to score on any play, He took the 1-point win and got out of dodge.:)

It seems like we lost fairly competitive early playoff games to the eventual state champion three or four years in a row around that time. We lost our RB on the third quarter kickoff return that year, and we never scored again after leading 27-21 at half in that 28-27 loss to LG. We lost to La Grange again the next year, but that one was ugly. Region 4 was strong in those years. We gave Liberty Hill a pretty good scare late in 2019 the week before they beat Carthage. That was a good LV team. We’ve been decently close at times but those early exits in the 2000’s hurt the legacy of some pretty good teams.

Congratulations Sinton! I missed this one badly. Y’all have gotten better and LaVernia wasn’t what the thought they were. Good luck to both teams going forward!

Jacoby James needed a big game, Check 5 catches for 110 yds 1 td
Sintn secondary does well, 3 interceptions check
Sinton DL get some sacks, 3 check

QB Triston Handson looking like his older brother, 10 carries 94 yards 1 td on a 53 yard keeper and 275 yds passing for 3 td.
RB Derek Garcia 16 carries for 138 yds and 1 td from 51 yards out.

Now should roll through games til Orange Grove and Ingleside

Impressive win for sure. I think OG and Ingleside are going to have their hands full when these games happen.
