This years group has a lot of potential and just as many questions . Front 7 on defense has to be rebuilt with Aiden Moody being the lone starter returning after a season ending injury in the 1st game of the year. The secondary should be pretty good only losing one starter from last years bunch. How quickly the new linemen and LB's learn to play together will determine this teams success. Offense this year has the potential to be very explosive. Tristen Handson finally gets his chance at QB this year. Sat out all of last year with a broke collar bone. Believe he would have become the starter eventually last year if not for the injury. Big tall kid and a very accurate passer. Flores, Hesseltine and James will be his go to receivers. Derek Garcia returns at running back as well as the entire offensive line. Should be able to score a lot points. The question is will the D be good enough to keep the opposition from outscoring them.

1st scrimmage was at Kingsville Brahmas. Defense did good with new faces in there no touchdowns allowed think only 3 or 4 first downs allowed total between 1's and 2's. Sinton offense technically scored once and another one was rule wr stepped out of bounce before scoring. Typical offense seems every year against Kingsville where they don't score much so not worried seen this every season in their scrimmages and this is a experience bunch from last season with qb being Triston Handson taking over in his Jr season was hurt last season so missed all year.
Next scrimmage today Thursday vs Cuero at Sinton

I’m assuming with nothing being posted about the Cuero-Sinton scrimmage and no highlights, the Pirates must have gotten taken to the woodshed by the Gobblers.

Yes they did. I actually posted about this on the Sinton vs Beeville thread.

Like 1st scrimmage it took me awhile to post, I live in Arlington so it's a 6 hr drive back home and usually wait til morning to head back and I upload to my computer and it's a weekend so I had Friday and Saturday hotel booked at a casino so no plans to go through scrimmage files and Sunday through Wednesday I work 13 hours shifts so It's work and sleep pretty much.

I just woke up before heading out to work in couple of hours so I uploaded the video to youtube. I do updates in Twitter/X of Sinton games I usually post video updates on scores by both teams but in my highlights I only put Sinton's. lol well there you go I posting it earlier than I planned.
Control part was
Cuero 3
Sinton 0
They played 2 quarters/Half a game
Cuero 14
Sinton 0

Here was my trip to season opener vs Beeville. Sinton seems to finds ways to not win against Beeville.....3 trips inside 20 no points and pick 6 on Handson's first pass play in varisty and bad snap to punter to setup a easy fg for Beeville. D played great gave up only 1 td in Beeville last possession which was the game winner.

Didn't make the trip to Rockport this past week so no video on that one but plan on making trip to Port Lavaca for Sinton's game against the Sandcrabs this Friday night.
