Anybody got a player or players that the rest of us should know about? Information would be appreciated unless you are planning to keep them a secret until the season starts.
Gilmer doesn't really have any D1 stud prospects, but then again, we rarely ever do.

How about your receiver (#7)? Is he not considered D-I talent?

Manuel Johnson is No. 7 and, yes, I would say from what I hear he IS a Div I prospect.

I've even heard the Longhorns are interested in him. Heck, with the new court ruling, Manuel may just turn pro! :D

Yep, seven is a real good number. In Biblical terms, it is called the "number of completion." So it would be good for either a quarterback or receiver to be No. 7.

#10 Emmanuel Sanders WR/DB, Bellville.

A friend of mine who keeps up w/ recruiting and I think this kid has D1 potential. Ran away from Marlin's loaded secondary in the Region game, and has unbelievable agility. If he can put on 15-20 pounds, this kid could be playing on Saturdays soon.

He may have to man the QB position for Bellville next year, which could be exciting w/ him touching the ball every play, but his future is as a WR, perhaps DB.

Travis Diestal from Rockdale is a good athlete, he may not be big enough for D1 but he is a fast and very quick corner.
