If there’s one thing Port Isabel has done very well this season, is having long time-consuming drives that keep the opposing offense off the field.

PI’s defense has shown up lately completely shutting out La Grulla, and holding a potent Ingleside offense to 13 points while forcing 4 fumbles and an INT.

Mind you, PI’s Slot-T isn’t as “potent” as Navarro’s Slot-T as the Tarpons have only been running the system since 2020, but it should be good enough to move the ball on Jarrell. Whoever has the better defense and/or makes the fewest mistakes will win this one.

A Tarpon win will clinch the Tarpons a Round 3 appearance for the first time since 2013.

This one is a good opportunity for D15/16 to pick up a win and advance against D13 teams. PI can play as much of a clean game and have success running the ball at them like their chances of moving to 3rd round.

Seating capacity is what I was referring to. Especially on the visitors side. But since the travel time is about 3 hrs for both schools it should work out.
