I think Gonzales 52 Smithville 44 qualifies as a bona fide upset.

Well if you read my post on this game I was not surprised as the Apaches have been underperforming considering their talent and were due for a breakout game while Smithville was ripe for an ambush. Pretty much what happened to LG when we played the Tigers. They came to play and the Leps were sleep walking. This late in the season you have to keep your focus. Next week I expect both teams will be fired up.

I did indeed read your post and saw what you said about the game possibly going to Gonzales. Apaches have been much improved during the past 3 weeks or so. It didn't show on the scoreboard, but the game with Cuero was much closer than the score indicated. Cuero has an excellent football team and they don't make many mistakes. Gonzales moved the ball pretty consistently against them but made too many mistakes that gave the Gobblers easy scores. If you make a mistake against Cuero, they are going to make you pay.
