This is the big game for D23 3A and will be in Sealy. Sealy has speed and a tough defense against the run which might hurt Bellville. Bellville can run and pass so Sealy will have to defend the pass if they want to stop Bellville. I see a close game and sense an upset.
Sealy 14 Bellville 7. :)

As much as I would like to see someone beat Bellville I don't think Sealy will be the one. Bellville O line and Gobert will run and the qb's arm is good. Makes for a balanced attack. If Sealy O line can give your rb and qb a chance to get going you certainly should be able to score some points. Seems as though both teams defense is nowhere as good as their offense. Good luck to the Tigers!!!!! I guess Bellville by 14.

On paper alone, I would go with Bellville by 20. That said, this is a neighboring community rivalry, and anything can happen in those. I will lean toward a Bellville victory, but won't try to predict a spread in this one. wink

I agree that in order for Sealy to be in this game their O line will need to step up. Bellville is certainly the favorite but in Sealy for all the marbles, anything can happen. :)

I think Bellville by 2 TDs at least. Their offense really impressed me when I saw them play. I also feel that Bellville has the speed and strength on defense to slow down Andrus and if you slow him down, you typically beat Sealy.

Im sure Sealy will be tough at home, but I still gotta go with Bellville on this one.

Say what you will, but whoever does the talkin out on the field with their actions on Friday night is gonna be the one who is right. That's how it always is, and thats how it will always be. How much longer till Friday????Cant wait.

This is definately a big game, Bellville has locked up at least a share of the distict title but does not want to share it with Sealy, with a Bellville win the Brahmas will win the title with a 5-0 mark. Bellville has a good all around ball team, the offense is the best Bellville has had since the 1977 state finalist, the defense is almost as good as last year. Bellville lost its all state linebacker in the first game to Rockdale, but have a lot of people that have stepped in and have done a great job. But he was suited up this past friday night, but didnt play. Maybe #11 will play this week against Sealy if the Brahmas need him, good luck to #11. The kicking game is also very solid this year, the kicker is a junior. Bellville has a lot of good receivers and running backs not to mention # 20 who has over 1000 yards and set out one game due to a sore knee. I could go on and on about the team but you get the picture. The biggest plus to the team is the qarterback he is also a junior, he can run and pass the ball very well. He is the best QB since Rusty Parker (1977) he is one of the leading passers in the area in 3AAA, wish he would have stareted last year! Bellville is loaded again this year. Lets just hope the play calling is best fit for the players!

I know Im biased but I really dont think Sealy will give Bellville much trouble at all, their inflated stats have only come from playing a weak pre-district schedule (LG was the best team by far and their 4 other opponents are a combined 9-27 this year) and leaving their first string in the entire game even after the score was out of reach for the other team. Im predicting Bellville by at least 20.

#11 for Bellville suited up last game but he tore his ACL the first game and I dont think he gets released until February. The defense has been playing great after some position changes a couple weeks ago, but I can only wonder how good the defense would be if he was still playing. Even if he was able to play later in the playoffs, I dont think he would, he has too much on the line for his future to risk reinjury.

This is the week everyone in Bellville has been waiting for, the chance to stomp Sealy and become 5-0 district champions.

I also agree with Travis, Sealy's stats are inflated they had a weak non-district and the only team that Sealy lost to was La Grange. Bellville's non district had Rockdale 31-7, Cameron 28-0, Houston St.Thomas 34-17, Rice 56-28 and Elgin 17-24. Bellville 4-1 in non-district, not to bad considering all these teams are in the running for there district titles, or runner up spots.
If Bellville would have left there starters in on all of there games, there stats would look inflated also. Just remember Sealy would always run up the score on Bellville, if they had the chance, maybe its time for some payback! But on the other hand, Bellville had the chance last year and they showed some class by kneeling on the ball at the end of the game instead of running up the score!

Bellville should win, but who knows in the last game of the regular season? Especially for the district title on the line. Sealy at home? I'll wait for the end of the week for this (yes an easy move for me!)
