Very close for three quarters tied 7-7 at the half. Elgin scored on a hook and lateral to go up 14-7 with 9 minutes left in the game. La Grange came out and drove the length of the field to score and made the 2 point conversion to go up 15-14. The D held Elgin 3 and out then the offense drove back down the field and scored again making the 2 point conversion with 1:48 on the clock. On the onsides kick La Grange recovered and ran four plays to turn it over on downs with 19 seconds left. Three plays latter game over LG 23 Elgin 14. Congrats to the Leps and good luck to the Elgin Wildcats a team much better than there record indicates. They have several excellent athletes and real solid coaching. On more thing, Sam Gunn All District safety suffered a separated shoulder and will be out for 2-3 weeks. Go Leps Beat Giddings! :D
