Probably one of the biggest rivalries in Texas..both teams have played a tough Non District with Smithville playing maybe a little harder one..this game will be close but give LG by 7

Before season Smithville was one of the teams that was mention that could possibly challenge Cuero and don't see that happening and imo they'll be battling for a 4th seed towards end of the season.

La Grange by 2 scores.

Dave Campbell has LG favor by 13

Scoop on MaxPreps La Grange has the third most difficult schedule behind Gilmer and Waco Connley @ 21.8 to Smithville's 4.3. These are based entirely on a statistical model eliminating subjective bias, LG is ranked 25th in 4 AII while SV is 56th. MaxPreps has a good record on their rankings when the teams reach mid-season as the cream begins to float to the top and with more games played statistical error decreases. The Leps are playing their best football now and should be fired up for this home game after two very long trips for away matches with Lago Vista and Splendora. I think the Leps jump out to an early lead and win this by a couple of tds or more. The Tigers will be punching above their weight as usual in this rivalry game, but LG has too many athletes on both sides of the ball and they are coming together as a team at the right time.
