Saw the highlights on this one.
Looks as if Henderson(WF High) had one of those nights where he tore up the Lions D.
It didn't help that Vernon had quite a few fumbles... and both teams combined for a high number of penalties.

Henderson was quite a player. Vernon played well for about two quarters before they started having penalties and fumbles. WF took advantage of them and Vernon had problems containing Henderson when he went back to throw. He would just tuck it in and run all over the place. Vernon's linebackers could not contain him. That cat is fast! I still think it was a good game for the Lions to play. Meaning against such a talented team that the experience of playing a good quality 4A team will help later on down the line. Vernon's passing has still got to get better before district. Too much pressure on the QB.

Special teams shined again as Vernon blocked 4 extra points!
