This board is for fun, but we here in Marlin have had the horrible experience of having one of our freshmen football players just be diagnosed with luekemia. No prior symptoms and it is in the third stage,it is all over his body except his brain. He is in Temple at Scott and White please keep A.J. Sadler in your prayers he is a brave young man.

Do you know if they are taking blood donations for him? We had a kid from our town that had lukemia, and Carter blood center let us give blood to his "account"...I'm assuming they would do the same for A.J. It would off-set any blood they used during his treatment. I think you have to have some personal info to do it, so it may just be something you want to do around there w/ the people that know him. It really meant a lot to the family. Every little bit helps. If they are, let me know. It is time for me to donate again.

We will pray for A.J. at church tonight.

May the Lord's blessing be upon him and his family during this scary time... and I'll pray for a speedy remission... I know there has been many changes in the treatments for luekimia... hopefully, one will be his ticket to remission and stay there for a very long time...

Great suggestion, Gochargers, you are a man of action in addition to faith! Sometimes we get caught up in the emotional and forget the practical. I have personally found the power of prayer when it is spread all over, I will keep A.J. and his family close in prayer.

Yes! this is true, but not only is he my wife's nephew, he's mine aslo, my kids are crazy about Peanut aka Alexander Jake Sadler, I've watched this kid grow from a small kid to a 6ft 2in. giant, and a helluva athelete and person, so thanks to everyone for their prayers and keep Peanut in your thoughts, again thanks.

He certainly is in my prayers. There are really miraculous new treatments for leukemisa nowadays and hopefully this young man will have a complete remission. He sounds like a really fine young man and a strong one too. God bless him and his family.
