Coach Waldie resigned from his position of AD/HFC today.

I figured this was coming. It will be good to get a new coach in place before realignment. Coach Waldie had no say on the tough early schedule that was left to him by the previous coach.

Never understood why Waldie was picked instead of the runner up 2 years ago

It doesn’t matter who’s in the early schedule, you have to win district games. 0-10 in district last two years is not good. All the surrounding communities are successful with Cuero, Yoakum, Shiner, and Hallettsville all making or winning state the last few years. Good for them, put this makes it frustrating for me as an Apache fan.

Another thing, who made it a rule Gonzales has to play an Austin ISD school every year. I’m tired of the games against Crockett or Travis. I’d rather play a Yoakum or Hallettsville. You’d get a better game. Hell, play Refugio and Shiner!!..
