On a serious weather note-We are expecting 6-8 inches of rain down here in Wharton County area with high winds. Will probably lose power later tonight

I know that no one wants to see anybody go through a flood and that all are safe. I was hoping that we would pick up some good rain in the Austin / Bastrop area as we are needing a fall soaker , but it looks like this thing comes onto shore then makes a sharp right turn towards Houston and the folks in Louisiana . Be safe Scoop and hope you do not lose any power or have any issues .

Not much of a storm event in the Corpus area but the local tv weather experts made it sound bad enough all the schools closed down for the day. That's why they paid the big bucks! LOL

To be fair to the local CC area weather folks, this storm was super annoying to track.

The center of circulation kept shifting all over the place. First it was due SE of Brownsville, then suddenly it's just off the coast of Brownsville. Then it shifts again back over open water SE of Corpus, then it bumps up north towards Matagorda Bay. Now it's looking like it's finally about to make landfall at Lake Jackson, but the bulk of the precipitation is going Northeast from there. So Galveston and points NE from there are going to get extremely wet.

We were very fortunate as it moved north eastward along the coast. We didn't get much rain at all and winds were no higher than 40 MPH-And we didn't lose power but some folks in Wharton (6 miles from us) did Prayers helped
