Austin Eastside Memorial has cancelled football this season ?

Eastside Memorial suspends varsity football program, will field a JV squad.
Faced with low participation rates by upperclassman, EM will not field a varsity football team for 2021.
Several of the last year juniors will have options to play collegiate baseball, which prompt them to bypass football this fall to focus on their main sport.

We've known about this for a while. So far the Texans are out of luck finding a replacement game. Just well may be a nine game regular season.

not necessarily a bad thing - especially with all the powerhouses yall will play in district leading up to the playoffs hehe....
