In the next two days there’s a chance that Lavaca county Tx could have 3 state champions.
Shiner St Paul has already won the Tapps Division 4 State Championship.
Thursday, Shiner and Hallettsville will play their State Championship games.
Everyone in Lavaca Co. is very proud of the Championship caliber football these teams have played.

I saw this story elsewhere. Thats pretty cool. Upshur County was hoping for a 6 man game to go along with Gilmer but it wasn't meant to be.

I feel pretty confident Shiner will get it done. Hallettsville has Brooks but Jim Ned is very good too. We will know tomorrow.

And Hallettsville's Brooks is the cousin of Shiner's Brooks brothers. Imagine if all three of them were on the same team. Sheesh.

Yep all three schools are only 15 miles apart. A lot of football talent in the area. Yoakum is 6 miles from Shiner, Columbus 20 miles north and Cuero south.

And Port Lava Calhoun was good also.

So darned close, great season Halletsville.
Well Shiner still has two state Champions in one town. Great job to all the teams.
