At the time during the summer spikes in cases in metro areas the logic was Covid wasnt as bad in the rural areas at the time so starting them on time made sense, while the UIL wanted to give the metro areas more time....

The idea was that most of the big schools were in metropolitan areas where covid was worse. So they tried to put off playing in those areas until cases went down which they did. Problem with that is cases are now back on the rise and they may have trouble finishing. Hopefully I did a good enough job explaining. Maybe someone else can chime in.

1A Div II game between Balmorhea & Richland Springs has been postponed due to covid.
Game to be rescheduled at a site & date determined by both school and completed by Jan 16th.

I dont think there's going to be too much trouble finishing unless the governor shuts it down (which I doubt)
