Long time El Campo Head and AD Wayne Condra has announced his retirement.
Coach Condra, who came over when Bob Gillis came back to the program in 2003 as both Defensive and Offensive Coordinator, before taking over the program in 2015 when Coach Gillis retired.
He will stay throughout the season as AD and told KULP that he is not sure what steps the district will take for his replacement.
Coach Condra comes off a 9-2 campaign this year, and an Area Finalist. Last year the birds were Regional semifinalists.
He was 77-38 overall, 50-20 with the Ricebirds. making two trips to the Regional semis during his tenure.C
