Llano v Halletsville

Interesting matchup here... llano with probably their best team in who knows how long. They’ve traditionally been one of the smallest 4As and a perennial doormat, but the drop down to 3a appears to have helped them compete better. They are 13-0 and squeaked by Lago Vista last week. They have the challenge of slowing down Jonathan brooks who is committed to play for the Texas Longhorns. Similarly, HV barely got by Columbus this past week.

Thoughts? Believe this game is Thursday in Georgetown

Llano doesn't have a dominant player like Brooks. This deep in the playoffs, I'm afraid that will be the difference.

I just watched the replay of Columbus-Halletsville game. Brooks is the real deal but Llano has an excellent defensive line. Should be a very competitive game.

Yes Halletsville did sneak by Columbus but the Columbus offensive game plan almost worked to perfection with long time eating drives. They did their best to keep the Halletsville offense on the bench.The difference was Brooks in the second half and they pulled away in the fourth Qtr. Llano is good and the DC is a old coach bud of mine when he was the HC at Gregory Portland. Halletsville just brings too much with Brooks in this game. 3AD1 Dist 12 is loaded with Halletsville, Columbus and Yoakum and that level of competition will make the difference in this game.

What most don’t understand is how well coached the Columbus team is coached.
Matt Schobel is the HC at Columbus, ex Philadelphia eagles TE. Bo Schobel”s son Dayne is the preseason 3AD1 MVP linemen. Bo also played in the NFL for Indy Colts in their Super Bowl run in 2007.
His brother Aaron Schobel also played in the NFL. Yes the Cardinals are very well coached and they are a very good team.
