The 2020 Dawgs have been dominating on both sides of the ball so far.
The defense may well end up being the best the Dawgs have had since coach Surratt has been at Carthage.
Last week they held Salado to 17 total yards and zero points in the first half.
Salado was averaging 411 yards and 45 points a game.
The starting defense has allowed zero points since the second week of October.
They have allowed 6.6 points per game.
No one has been able to run or pass on this Dawg defense so far.
The offense has been just as good averaging 44 points a game with starters taken out in the third quarter.
China Spring has grab another gear and playing good football.
The Dawgs know they are going to get China Spring best and will be ready to play.
The Dawgs know every team that makes this far is good.

I look for China Spring to play Carthage a "little" better than most previous opponents, but seeing Carthage first hand and in person, I don't see anybody beating them this year. I would be surprised if CS scores more than a couple of TDs against Carthage. I look for a 35-14 type game with the Dawgs winning.

It happens. We had our share too. What pisses me off are the recruiting whispers. Gilmer didn't recruit and never needed too. Neither does Carthage. If you build it, they will come. Period

That's Scott's youngest kid, isn't it? That means he will probably stay at Carthage for another five years. I look for some of Surratt's coaches to get offers elsewhere, and Coach Preston will be a hot commodity after this season. Will Carthage be able to keep his staff in tact? They could, I'm sure, but sometimes it's not about the money.
