A lot of cancelled games and resuffling of schedules. If this trend continues going to make a mess of district starting up.

Districts need to have a plan in place to play make-up games etc and do their best to decide it on the field...with creative scheduling and outside the box thinking an extra playing date can be added in etc

That would mean playing every 5 days and a lot of coaches don't want to do that.

I can guarantee you a lot of coaches dont want to have their playoff fate not decided on the field either...which is the chance you are taking by not having a plan in place if your district doesn't have the buffer

and if done correctly you'd only have one five day week and thats only games are canceled due to Covid.

Read where 4A-1 District 4 changed their 9/25 and 10/2 games (cancelled non-district games) and moved up district games to start 10/2. This made week 11 (11/6) open for all to make up any cancelled district games.

Yes... 5-4A D1 did it too....some districts dont have that flexibility though

our district rearranged games to everyone's by week so now everyone's by week is week 11 and can be used as a makeup date if necessary

Dist 3-4A Div 2 is moving to a modified schedule
Games played 10/9 & 10/16 as scheduled
Games scheduled for 10/23 are moved to Thur 10/22
Games scheduled for 10/30 are moved to Wed 10/28
Games scheduled for Fri 11/6 are moved to Mon 11/2
COVID make up Sat 11/7

Paris cancelled last night's game against Melissa and next week's game with Anna due to covid. Paris newspaper shows these will be forfiets by Paris. Are all these cancelled games recorded as forfiets ?

Non-District no....district it just depends on the DEC rules

District 5 -- 4A-1
This district set up week 11 as open for make up games. But due to Brownwood having to cancel against Mid. Heritage (10/9) and La Vega (10/16) the AD's voted 5-1 that both games to be forfeits.
Mid Heritage played Mesquite Poteet 10/9. Brownwood and La Vega will play week 11 -(11/6) but will not count as district game.

Taylor Ducks has cancelled next 2 weeks of all football activities. This includes all high school and middle school games. Taylor was to play 10/16 Canyon Lake and 10/23 Burnet.

Maybe Burnet can schedule Marble Falls. MF has open date 10/23. They were origanally scheduled to play 2nd game of season.
