Cuero in a similar fashion... with the exception - those with "Reserved Parking" will get 2 tickets per home game but General Admission. All tickets will be done online with QR codes (or whatever those things are) will be a strong learning cure for sure...

I've learned not to be worried by games like this because we have a history of getting better, but...

Pass blocking was terrible, which contributed to the QB having no confidence, which contributed to the play-calling having no confidence in the QB. Wray got hurt and didn't play the 2nd half, Limely didn't play at all, and the secondary looked shaky.

But 1-0 and we'll get better.

Best of all, I don't have to listen to the CL announcing team the rest of the season.

13 penalties. 3 sophomores on the OL. It was posted we had 5 starters out. That first drive fumble kinda set the tone for the whole game it seems. KBVO did a nice job I thought. I was at the game but watched it again on DVR. Just not the same atmosphere with this covid crap, not to mention it was stupid hot and very humid.

Those two were lost. No football savvy. Didn't know the score. Don't think Wimberley had to KO if clock ran out. Putting 2 sec. on the clock means refs say Tippie was down with time left. They said don't touch the ball on KO and no time runs off. It's a free ball unless downed inside 20 (?). Maybe best laugh was CL put it to them !

This ought to be a tasty matchup. I'd imagine Wimberley has the guys to stay competitive. What they don't have is Ace Whitehead, though. That dude is an absolute game changer, and I think he's the difference between a 3-0 and a 2-1 start for the Texans. Badgers win, but Wimberley gets better and gains some good experience against a high-caliber athlete.

Yes it was a nearly 30 point loss....the game wasn't in doubt after halftime.....still think Wimberley is pretty good, most teams dont hang around the top ten losing by two touchdowns, much less four

I think so..Fred has run up a nice record but they haven't played anyone near the quality of Wimberley....the next two weeks I think will tell a lot about them....as for Lampasas not pulling the QB....thats a good question but I have had some coaches tell me they are leaving their guys in a bit longer than usual this year simply due to lack of reps and lack of conditioning etc...everyone handle it different and I'm sure if Wimberley was a lesser team Whitehead woulda been yanked..also this is probably the last run for a while from Lampasas...there's not much behind this group IMO

They were different, so a little hard to compare. Weeks was a better passer, but he had about as much mobility as a 100-year oak tree. I'll still give him the edge because his accuracy was just phenomenal, which you know if you came to the 2017 Navarro game.

I watched the Fred-Monahans game and Fred looked *REALLY* good. However, Monahans, just like Fred's other two opponents, is 0-3 now. Meanwhile, every week Canyon Lake is making Wimberley's season opener look better and better. Still surprised DCTF has a 22-point line on this one.

Wimberley takes it 21-20. QB had his best game thus far. Defense coming together. Billies enjoyed a 50+ game scoring average until last night. Stupid penalties made this close. Texans have a lot of work ahead but I like where this is going.

I can live with an Eastside in the district. I actually enjoyed watching them fight on every play with both teams being respectful throughout the games. That novelty has worn thin. I think the UIL didn't have a fricking clue what to do with the rest so guess what. They ruined what was a highly competitive district. This past Friday Navarro did what they needed to do and let the boys have a little extra fun with it too. Kudos Panthers! Run the plays, get the reps. It is what it is, especially this year. Go Texans!

4 of these teams have no Junior High games available. Manor New Tech has a JV but the others from what I am hearing do not. This is a shame because it penalizes Wimberly and Navarro as the both are scrambling to find Jr High, Freshman and JV games.

As it stands now, Port Isabel tentatively has a non-district game set up on Oct. 30th with PSJA Southwest. Port Isabel DID finally start in-person practices this Monday and don't have anything on the schedule for this Friday.

They wanted to have a scrimmage with someone for the 23rd, but there's word they MIGHT go the Raymondville route and put another non-district game in it's place. As far as who is open on that day, no one really knows. PI may possibly go up against a 6A JV team to at least get a few reps in.

However, if the game vs. PSJA Southwest falls through, then Port Isabel will have Oct. 30th open.

It's not looking very good for Raymondville right now. They just cancelled another game for this Friday vs. Hidalgo and the word floating around is that there may be more COVID-19 positives there too. Not just Raymondville, but Willacy Co. as a whole.

Still no word on openings for Oct. 30th, at least out of the RGV region. Port Isabel's non-district game with PSJA Southwest on Oct. 30th is now a go, so no PI/Wimbo game.

Congrats to Navarro. Your #13 is and was the difference maker. That dang wind wreaked havoc on our spread offense. We lost yet another key player early on with Olmedo being helped off the field. Not sure the extent of the injury. For the most part I thought we played pretty well. Best of luck the rest of the way. Something tells me we will meet again. Go Texans!

As far as the second half goes, you take away the most blatant blown call we’ve had this year, one that caused a 16 point and huge moment swing, and this one wasn’t close. But yea whatever helps you sleep at night.

Thanks Pud. You could see in the Kennedale game the defense was starting to gel. Looks as though our offense may be figuring it out as well. Not to beat a dead horse but we have lost at least a half dozen starters to injuries. Feeling a lot better though about this playoff year after the win and how they went about it.

Thinking back on it, I think Los Owls eventually died of heartbreak suffered after we beat Devine. He did hang on long enough to pick us to lose to Coldspring and Argyle, but he was just doing that as a reflex reaction and was never the same after that night in San Antonio.

I've learned not to be worried by games like this because we have a history of getting better, but...

Pass blocking was terrible, which contributed to the QB having no confidence, which contributed to the play-calling having no confidence in the QB. Wray got hurt and didn't play the 2nd half, Limely didn't play at all, and the secondary looked shaky.

But 1-0 and we'll get better.

Best of all, I don't have to listen to the CL announcing team the rest of the season.

Here's what I posted after Game 1. About the bolded... O-Line was awesome tonight and so was Tippie. We can win a few more games playing like that.

I live in LV--not a fan of that district. Just HS football in general really. I travel a lot in my business. I did see a few quarters of this one, heading to deer lease for the weekend. Will say, Wimbo pretty salty. Be a tough out for someone moving forward.

Will give Hondo fan's credit, they packed their side, and even brought their band. WT have one and just not bring it?

Was a good game think it was 21-14 late 3rd qtr with Sinton in red zone before turnover. Was really thinking it was going to be a tie game going into the 4th. Rain did a number on me recording of the game, still got some video but a lot of having to clean the lenses. Camera gave up by half time had to switch to recording with phone.

Good season for the Pirates, they're making strides to be in contention again for region. Good luck moving forward.
