I think the winner of the Cubs vs Marlins series will take it all. I hope its the Marlins but the Cubs pitching is tough to beat. But I agree, anytime the Yankees lose, its a good thing.

Huge performance by Wakefield, the veteran stepped up and pitched the game of his life. Great boost for the Sox, who will head back to Fenway no worse than 1-1. Then get Pedro for Game 3.

I know this may be early, but I'm starting to think that it might be destiny to have the Sox and Cubs in the Series.

I love the underdog Marlins, but I'm pullin for the Cubbies, I wanna see the dream Series.

I think the worst thing about these playoffs is that even if the Cubs and Sox win their respective series, one of them is going to have the jinx extended...by the other cursed team! How bad would that be? I think that A marlins-sox or yanks-cubs series might be a little less traumatizing to some fans out there.

This game 2 is almost a must win for the Yanks. If they lose this one tonight, they will go back to Fenway down 2-0 and will have to face Pedro in game 3. By the way Derek Lowe is pitching tonight for the BoSox and thats no walk in the park.

I think the real question is which Derek Lowe will show up? The Cy Young Lowe from a year ago, or the Lowe who had an ERA well over 5.00 through the first few months of the season???
