Matts DCTF projection for 4A in 2020-2022 link is below and if it holds roughly true D2 Inherits the Mighty Carthage and Region 3 for D1 becomes WIDE OPEN! Now for the big OUCH, 4A-D1 Region 4 becomes the new Murders Row with La Vega, Lampasas, Calallen, Calhoun, Beeville, Canyon Lake, Boerne, and China Spring!

This is speculation of course, but interesting to say the least, who would have thought of R4 as being the new REGION of DOOM and R3 being anybodys game with the Statewide perennial power possibly dropping to D2.

Brownwood is the biggest stretch...I just hate the 4 team districts

I can see Bishop and Robstown going south and maybe West Oso but not Sinton and Ingleside. They'll head north I believe.

With Progreso dropping to 3A, some of the Coastal Bend area teams will have to go South to complete a district.

Robstown for sure. West Oso would make 5. Bishop, assuming they make the cut into 4A would make 6.

Is Orange Grove also dropping to 3A? I believe they turned in 509, so if that's the case are we assuming the cutoff will be 510? Because, iirc, Bishop turned in 514. Of course someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I mention Orange Grove and West Oso because when 4A was split into divisions, both Orange Grove and CC West Oso were put in District 16 for the 2016 and 2017 seasons

As per Matt, Tarkington should be at the top of 3A at 510.
Gonzales will be top of Division 2 as they were several years ago.
We may know more in about maybe 3 weeks when the numbers are released.
Otherwise it is fun to speculate.

As long as we are speculating, I speculate it will be La Vega vs El Campo in the semi finals for the next two to four years. Carthage should stick around and join the fun. :)
