The Leopards are coming off a 56-21 loss to Giddings while the Cougars are comming off a 35-6 win over Houston Kashmere.
Game is at Rhodes Stadium in Katy

Gonna be tough for the leps to bounce back after the last two disappointing games but they will hopefully put that behind them and start the post season fresh. Perhaps a couple of injured starters will return??

BTW folks tell your ladies no purses or bags allowed in Rhodes Stadium only clear small see through handbags allowed. Don't ask me how I know.

So what's the skinny on the Cougars? From Maxpreps stats they look like mostly a running team with an athletic Qb. They took Sweeny to OT befor losing so they must be capable of playing pretty good football.

Yes I did know that. Thanks. I hope the Leps get their mojo back Thursday. They have been down for some reason since the Caldwell game. We lost two starters to injuries hopefully they will be back for this game. It comes down to our defense which has been unable to make the stops the past two games. That makes it hard for the offense to keep up as the time of possession is much less. Running offenses like Bellville and Giddings just eat up the clock with long drives that grind down the defense and wear you out. La Marque looks like another running offense type team so the Leps will need to make some adjustments.

This website has the game starting at 7PM while UIL at 7:30PM. Which is correct Speedy?

Gary Dusek from KVLG-KBUK Radio Station in La Grange keeps reporting game is at 7:30 p.m.

Not sure Pud. My guess would be 7:30 but I'll tune in at.7 just in case.

I got this game a toss up.If Leps can make some stops I think they can get the win.

Leps limped through this one for the defensive win with both our Qbs, our leading rusher and biggest starting OL out tonight. Senior WR #11 Jacob Brandt filled in at Qb and had a good night throwing the football although our running game was definitely missing tonight. The defense got the needed stops and put the pressure on the Cougar running backs to keep us in the game until the offense put it away late in the 4th quarter with a nice 17 yard run over left tackle for the go ahead td by #26 Junior D.J. Taylor. Hopefully at least one of our Qbs will be back next week. Very proud of the Leps to play like they did with such adversity.

LM will never reach any level of success until they become disciplined. Lack of discipline killed us all year.

Give credit to the Cougar D with that goal line stand at the end of the 2nd quarter. They held the Leps at the 3 for 4 downs. I was shocked at how few La Marque fans showed up it seemed less than 100. It was less than what you would get from an away LG JV game and this was a playoff game! Poor community support plays a huge role in team morale so I wouldn't be too hard on the coaches or players as they put up a good fight.
