Playoff seedings on the line

Well this one is for a piece of the District Championship. After the miserable exhibition the Leopards put forth last week against Bellville (4 turnovers on fumbles and 3 on interceptions) perhaps they don't have anymore mishaps left for this game and will come out on fire. It's been too long (5 years) since LG has won this great rivalry game. Last year the Leps went into the same last two games as this year 3-0 and 6-1 overall and lost both to Bellville and Giddings. The Leps have not gone beyond one and done in the playoffs since the JK Dobbins' sophomore year in 2014, having bowed out after one game in 2015, 2016 and 2018. Folks here in La Grange really are excited about this team and look forward to breaking this La Grange-Giddings losing streak and advancing in the playoffs again.

What would the seeding look like with a Lep win...a Giddings win?

Lep win:
Bellville 4-1
LG 4-1
SV 3-2
G 3-2

Giddings win:
G 4-1
Bellville 4-1
LG 3-2
SV 3-2

assuming SV beats Caldwell and Bellville beats Royal
Ties settled on head to head results.

So Giddings could go from a possible district champ to dead last,La Grange 1st to third,Bellville 1st to second.Looks like Giddings has the most to lose.Winner and fourth would go to the bottom bracket and not have to contend with Jasper/WOS until the quarters.Still some good teams to deal with in Silsbee,Sweeny,Center and Hamshire.Good luck to the Leps.

Best LG can do by beating Giddings is to go to 2nd seed as a tie at 4-1 with Bellville gives them the 1st seed as the Brahmas won the head to head in our game with them.

Seems like Giddings may have looked even worse. 41-0 to Smithville after three quarters. Not sure what was going on there.

Let’s go La Grange. Bellville is pulling for you. To think bellville could win district after our slow start is crazy. But coach always has them
Play their best ball at the right time.

Two things come to mind regarding Giddings loss to Smithville. First the Tigers are not the 0-10 team of the past decade. They are a legitimate football team and obviously the Buffs underestimated them. Two, they have the best passing game in D12 with Qb Otto who can sling the football accurately and quickly to any of 4 good receivers with hands and speed. Giddings has one weakness exposed in game 1 against Rockdale, defending the pass. The Tigers obviously just played their game against them. Unless the Leps decide to throw the football more Friday it will be very tough to move the chains against the Giddings Defense.

The Giddings win surprised me. I figured the backup QB would have a tough game. He proved me wrong, went 6-10 passing and the Buffs D really stepped up too.

Buffs had a good run game going pretty much the whole game.

Yep the Buffs owned the line of scrimmage all night. Good luck going forward!

Having seen both Giddings is more physical and the better team. Does not surprise me as they have some nice players. LG looks like they don't hit the weight room as much.
