I think Port Isabel has has a great Running Back by the name of Johnny "NITRO" Nieto he is a great running back with great speed and agility. Knows what hes doing and strives hard for every yard he gets. 2002-2003 Newcomer of the Year with about 700+ yards his sophmore year. Hes a junior now and is defenitly a key player in 32-3A. Look out for #33 in the future!

Good luck Tarpons!!!

I have been watching RC a lot the past two years and thier running backs are some of the greatest out there. #18 Michael Spears and #32 Charles Huffman, both have been on Varsity since thier freshmen years, Huffman is only a Jr now and last year led the team in rushing with 1,124 yds and Spears(Sr) was second with over a 1,000. I look for both of these great running backs to have a wonderful year.

Rex Harper has averaged more than 10 yars per carry. In just 3 games, Rex has ran for 443 yards and 10 TDs. The yards per carry is probably the best indicator of his talent, since he is usually sitting on the bench in the 4th quarter (thanks to big leads and blow outs). Even more impressive is that he has maintained that average while spliting carries with Weldon Brooks (407 yards and 6 TDs in those same 3 games), and Chris Morris (178 yards rushing and 1 TD, 7 receptions for 288 yards and a TD). Rex has elusive speed and agility, along with the power to run over DBs and drag LBs for extra yardage.
