Ok, I'm a believer now. 4-0 and just smacked 5-A WF Rider 37-15. What makes this team different than the last several years? No turnovers, very limited penalties and forced turnovers. They seem to be playing smart football which has been lacking for many years. Coach Burnett turning things around in Maroon Country.

+1 on believing. I think the thing that is impressing me most is the balance on offensive side and an underrated defense stepping up at critical times. They can really get after the QB.

Not proclaiming world-beater status by any stretch, and it's overwhelmingly unlikely that we even win district, but I like our chances to make a little noise come playoff time. Surrendering 8 points a game doesn't hurt either.

Brownwood looks good so far (Brock 10-0? meh)

But we will see how forreal the wood is when they play Stephenville and lavega later. Don’t sleep on China spring either...

7-0 so far...BUT the toughest part of the schedule coming up. Stephenville, La Vega, and China Spring will certainly prove if they are capable of making a run.

They'll beat China Spring by as many as they want - they're terrible.

I don't understand how they're a 28 point favorite vs Gatesville this week - they must be REALLY, REALLY bad....

The CS QB has been relived of his duties as have a few other players. The "team" is in chaos at China Spring.

Sheesh. What's going on there, man? What I saw of them in 7-on-7, I thought they may sneak up on some folks this year, had some good looking skill kids.

I think it's a combination of entitled kids, pushy parents and a very young head coach that may be in over his head. Add to this situation, Dad (athletic director) is looking over said head coach's shoulder doesn't help.

They'd better get it together this week - it's pretty much an in-season playoff game.

I agree. This is the same team that smoked Lorena and had Connally beat until the final 4 minutes. Something happened after that Connally game.
