What a great district race this is going to be. There won't be a more competitive district in 4A and the madness begins with this game and won't end until the last week of the season when WC travels to EC and Needville visits Sealy. Brazosport will have played these four and if they managed an upset, will be waiting the outcome as will Lampasas and LH. Who,where and when? Heck, this is already fun!

This game? Stredick and the Jays have beaten the Ricebirds the last two years and are favored by six this week. The birds ground game will keep the ball away from him,but the Birds D will be the real difference this year. Ricebirds in a close one. 31-21

A shocker of a score-Needville had me fooled--Will have an easier time against Bay City next Friday-And the Ricebirds should be able to bounce back against Fulshear at home. While Brazosport gets Sealy on the road

The birds QB went out in the second qtr. and the offense just seemed to lose it's rythem. Don't think they could have kept up with Stredick anyway. Playing at their place won't be fun but if the Necks can throw it now and then they should be ok.

Needville gave #3 5A Calallen all they could handle when the played with Calallen winning by 20-19.
Calallen is a very good team and they barely escaped with the win.
