What do yall think? The Tough Steers Defense hold the High Scoring Lions Offense?

I'm really interested in this game to gauge how good Brownwood really is. I know that Brock is down and from what I hear, a 6-man team could have beaten Snyder. But 70 points.... That's incredible. I'm picking Bwd.

I'm interested to see how Brownwood's defense plays. Giving up an average of 5 points a game is impressive, but a better test is coming this week.

Completely agree with this. Shutting out Brock was a big deal for Brownwood, even if the Eagles are in a bit of rebuild mode. But shutting down this Steers attack will be a different animal altogether. Graham put up like almost 700 yards last week didn't they? An efficient QB, a good ground game and some decent skill kids spread across the field is going to cause some problems for the Lions. Great test for both squads, in my opinion. I lean towards Graham a bit, but if Brownwood finds a way to shut down that offense, then lookout! That would serve notice to the rest of an already uber competitive District 5 in 4A D1.

Steers put up 677 yards. 229 passing 448 rushing. Two Running backs combined. Def gave up 67 yards total offense and 4 first downs to Mineral Wells (-4 yards in the second half). The Kicker 2 FG's and 6 XP's. Avg 57 yards a kick on kickoffs.

Brownwood put up 42 points in the first quart and touched the ball 4 times on Offense.

This should be a game that both teams find out how good they are. Brownwood over Brock is a good win and the Steers over WF Hirschi was a good win. This will be good gauge for both teams.

Not that it matters to much but Graham JV crushed Bwood JV 50-0. I know JV is not varsity but it does give you a sense of the temperature of the high school program.

And the Brownwood Freshman blanked Graham, but you wasn’t going to mention that as it went against your point of Graham being superior to Brownwood. Nice try though. It should be a great game and both teams will be better because they played this game. Win or lose I hope both teams come out healthy!

Go Lions! This is one that I wish I was able to attend. Anyway you slice it, giving up 17 points in 3 games is impressive. Hopefully, they can continue with the momentum. Good luck to the Steers the rest of the way.

Go Lions!
