What this game means: Miller's defense showed an ability to weather an offensive output and then create stops, allowing their offense to do its thing. While head coach Mike Troutman had his boys prepared for the highly touted Buccaneers, the Miller offense proved too much to handle and the Sinton offense struggled to produce chunk plays with their rushing game despite a handful of chances in the first half.
Friday's stars: Miller quarterback Andrew Body went 16 of 30 for 445 yards and four TDs. Ralph Rodriguez caught seven passes for 197 yards and two scores. Wide receiver Cassius Clay caught five passes for 111 yards and a score. Marcell Davis and McCullion Williams combined for 161 yards and two scores each on 29 carries. Sinton running back Rylan Galvan rushed for 73 yards and a touchdown on 20 carries.

Friday's highlights: Sinton never looked intimidated during the first half. After Miller won the coin toss and deferred, the Pirates went 57 yards in seven plays to take a 7-0 lead. Despite Miller scoring two TDs on their following two drives, the Pirates twice reached the Buccaneers redzone thanks to great field position gained on kick returns, but had a turnover on downs at the 1-yard line and a lost fumble. Body struggled near the end of the first half, going one of six on his final six passes, but that one pass was an 84-yard TD to Ralph Rodriguez with 38 seconds left in the half. That momentum carried over as the Buccaneers scored four TDs on their five drives of the second half, including 62-yard and 82-yard bombs to Rodriguez and Ezekiel Moya.

Miller head coach Justen Evans on outscoring Sinton 51-2 down the stretch:
"We're a resilient bunch. Most of our kids are three-year starters so they're never going to die, they're never going to back down. Our kids are going to fight hard, they're going to come back and they're going to respond. We don't ever worry about that because we train that way."
