China Spring looking to get some revenge on Lorena after last years 14 point loss. Lorena brings back their potent QB/WR (6'2" WR) combo that led them to the district championship and a 11-2 regional finalist in 2018. Lorena graduated 18 seniors including 12 All-District players and 2 All-State players. Sounds like the defense will have several new faces.

China Spring is coming off a 6-6 season, third place finish in district and 2nd round playoff finish. This will be the second year of head coach Brian Bell's tenure. The Cougars are still young including a sophomore QB but they will be more experienced in the trenches with SR OL Powell 6'1" 270, Sr. DL Thomas 6'2" 270, and Jr. LB Pechacek 6'1" 205.

I give the edge to China Spring at home by 3.

Didn't get to see the Lorena/Cameron scrimmage, but made the University scrimmage. LL looked pretty decent. QB Lina's got a boo coup of yards coming into the season.

Lorena hasn’t a won a big game ever. Never will.

Their Super Bowl was the win against CS in 2005.

They haven’t made a deep postseason run at least on my lifetime and likely never will. They have been a China Spring wannabe for some time. Have had hype, but haven’t delivered.

I never got close to losing to Lorena and destroyed them literally every time my team played them and it wasn’t close.

I played in a state game and 40+ varsity games. You’re trying to say this to the wrong individual. I’ve followed this area before I played and after.

Lorena was/is up and coming, but have not made an even remotely great jump aside from just qualifying for the postseason. They were constantly left out when I was around.

The postseason accomplishments of China Spring when I was there are greater than Lorena’s as an all-time program.

Tonight’s result was nothing more than a reaffirmation of the cen-tex pegging order.
