That's good, the young man has really impressed me. I think Wimbo will be much much better this year.....hoping we find some defense.

The La Vernia scrimmage gave me a reason to be optimistic. We are gonna find out real soon.

I think we found some defense. I saw Coach Smith walking the track this evening. Coincidence? lol

Dick has been around the last several years, but hasn't been coaching.

I thought we looked great tonight when we settled down. Our O-line just pushed Burnet all over the field. A complete whipping.

D did look very solid and disciplined.

Burnet looked like hot garbage, though, poorly coached and completely unorganized. IIRC, the last time Burnet came in here, Shipley and McGee went up and down the field all night. Those days are loooong gone. 42-6 Wimberley for those of you not there.

I saw that Giddings gave up 41 points in the first half tonight, but never saw a final. Hopefully we can keep it going next week.

Wimberley has some size and speed. Could be one of those years making a deep run in playoffs.

and I know Coach Smith is retired. lol but he was there. Hot garbage....kinda reminds me of Wimberley last year.

The question is Wimberley that good or is Burnet struggling that badly? Their Junior class is pretty good, they should be better that this.

The Texans could have played much better. Both schools returned 14 starters from last year. 7/7 for the Texans and 8/6 for the Bulldogs. As I have said before we have some good talent coming up for the next few years. I think we all realize that one game does not make a season. Wish Burnet the best of luck the rest of the way.

I don't even know if I could say we played that well. Yeah, I could if you throw "for the first game of the season" qualifier on it. Burnet looked like they had barely practiced, and their lines looked terrible on both sides. They'll get better (like everyone will), but they looked really bad.

Come on rb585 that isn't a fair assessment. Burnet lost the game yes but I can guarantee our Coaches and Players practiced as hard as they could to prepare for that contest. Awesome job Wimberley and the Bulldogs will continue to improve and grow as a team.
