Rice will be coming in this game with a very good start to their season. They are very focused and determind to win this one after losing to Sinton last year. I predict that Rice takes this one by more then 30. Good luck to both teams.

All I can say is you are probably correct in your thinking. Sinton will have to absorb some paybacks for manhandling some teams the past few years. Sinton is very young and will make young player mistakes. The Pirates will not give up too easy though, so the Rice team better not take them too easy. These early loses are only building character for later in the year,I HOPE!! Good luck to both teams and pray for no injuries.

update on the game sinton 14 rice 9 sinton opend off the game with a kickoff return then rice scored on there posession and then kickoff to sinton ran back to the 4 touchdown sinton rice kicks a field goal to make it 9

i was there untill 6 minutes left and rice had most of there 1st team in there including q.b.with a 51-20 lead. they should be letting some of there other boys play. if he gets a starter hurt he will stop that crap. they are very good but that is not very much class.

Final score was Rice 58 Sinton 20. The wheels fell off in the 2nd half & especially in the 4th quarter!! We can only hope these games will toughen 'em for district. No injuries to report--thank God.

I don't have ALL the details, but once again turnovers killed us. 2 that I know of were on kick returns (in the 4th) & Rice recovered & had great field position & scored on both those turnovers. I guess by that point our "D" was exhausted & couldn't do much to keep them contained, but I'm just guessing...it makes sense, right? I just don't know---I'm getting all my info 2nd hand, so we'll have to wait & hope that one of the DL gang was at the game or I get a first hand account & relay the info. bummer. :( Next 2 games (I think) are at home, we'll see how they respond.

Calm down...First of all the score was 58-20 not 68 and second of all not only did Rice's second team play, but also the JV. They were taken along since they did not have a game scheduled this week. Don't know about you but that's what I call "calling off the dogs". The game was exciting for a long time. Good luck Sinton in the rest of the season.

The final score was 58-20 and the only reason its that high is because our 2nd team came in and scored. Sinton is a good team and if not this year next year they will be something to worry about! There is a lot of young talent on that team! Great game Raiders! RAIDERS ALL THE WAY!

I was there too and I thought Rice should have put in the second team a few minutes earlier than they did but that is just a personal opinion. One thing that must be remembered though that the guys on the second team work hard in practice and when they get into the game they want to perform well too and we have seen that in Sinton. You have to remember that even though they are the second team they are coming in the fourth quarter fresh while the other team's first team has played 3 1/2 quarters and are very tired which can make a difference. And give Rice credit because they are a great team and should challenge for the Division 2 championship. They have lots of speed.

Sinton's defense was probably very tired at the end of the 2nd half
it didnt seem like the offense was in there at all...
the 2 or 3 fumbles on kick off return didnt help either
if we can keep up the intensity in the 2nd half...we'll be a hard team to beat...until then...
hopefully we'll have it together by district
i really think who wins the first district game b/t Sinton and West Oso is going to be who wins district in the 30-3A division
and playing away doesnt help much either

Such arrogance should never be tolerated. I do know Sintonites have class. If I came across as being too forward in my assumptions, I apologize.
I know this season has started dissapointing, but it will come around soon.
