It's never over until the last out......until the Fat Lady sings. Carthage did not capitalize on their opportunities when they occurred and Sweeny made plays when threatened to keep it close. Eventually Carthage made enough mistakes that Sweeny tied the game and then won it. I'm certain there was a couple of plays at least before that last inning that kept this game within 3 runs. I heard Carthage stranded 14 on base......not sure what Sweeny stranded.

yes Carthage stranded a lot of base. Not sure if it was 14. Carthage's relief pitching did them end in the 7th.
