Sinton vs Robstown best of 3 series Region Qtr Finals

Tradition on both sides and about even in head to head since 2008 with Sinton a slight edge. Sinton has won the series when they have met in the playoffs both time with last time Sinton winning as the 4th seed in district and Robstown district champion. This year the roles are reversed and Robstown youth comes in with plenty of experience now something they have had to overcome this season as they just made the playoffs by winning their last two must win games.

Sinton loaded with seniors, all 4 regular starting pitchers are seniors. Sinton lineup back to when they started season which has 3 freshmen starters in the lineup.

Both matchups were evenly matched with Robstown leading 3-0 at home in the first meeting before Sinton rallied to win 5-3.

This was last meeting in the playoffs between the two it was region final in 2017. Sinton was district champion but had split with Robstown in district. Sinton has 3 state championships, 9 state tournament appearances and Robstown 2 state championships and 7 state tournament appearances. This game below was packed fans were lineup 4hrs before game time to make sure they would get a seat. Cabiniss holds several thousand so seating should be alot better than 2017 game.

Sinton 5th run. Both teams packed their sides, outfield seating didn't filled up maybe today . Saw a post by Tim from THSB website and its true majority of the fans start jumping on bandwagon around this time of a playoff run.

Robstown 4th seed scares me the mo st they remind of Sinton few years back when Sinton finished 4th with a young team with pitching. Sinton knock out 3 district champions and lost to El Campo another DC by a run both games. Sinton knock out Robstown the district champions in that run.
Sinton extended their playoff streak to 24 straight. Robstown has one longer they kept alive.


Very tight series......congrats to the Sinton Pirates on advancing to the next round.29 meetings majority of them down to the last inning. All 3 playoff meetings now have gone to a game 3.

Good to see all the support down there for both teams......baseball has ALWAYS been taken very seriously in South Texas. I know because I grew up there with a glove in my hand since age 4. My Dad was the manager of the Yankees Little League team for 10 seasons in Goliad. We had 4 teams back then.....the Yankees won the title all 10 yrs he was the manager. And then those same groups of kids won in high school and in Babe Ruth summer league. As far as I was concerned......and I played all the sports......there was NOT a better sport for me......not even golf. It gets inside you......the ultimate team and individual sport together. There are so many situations and variables in play that change all the time during a game. It's really more and deeper than most fans that are not deeply involved could ever fathom. And it's pure.....demanding of all your abilities and pure.
