Big Stink in El Campo on Ricebird Stadium name change

There's a big deal in El Campo about renaming Ricebird Stadium to Keith-Gillis Stadium. Lots of posts on facebook about it over the past two weeks. Buzzy Keith was the football coach in the 60s and Bob Gillis recently. More folks want it to stay Ricebird Stadium

The rest of the school board was not very enthusiastic about a name change.
A petition was started that has taken off like crazy in EC to keep the name as is.

I think Cecil is going to drop this idea about changing the name ( his term is almost up and I heard he isn't going to run again)
