One of the concerns in the past has been with Charter schools recruiting kids and having an unfair advantage. However, this post is about the opposite. 32-3A consists of Santa Rosa, Lyford, Monte Alto and 5 Charter schools. all but one of the charter schools is not competitive at all as referenced by some of these scores......

Santa Rosa 117 Vanguard Alamo 14
Santa Rosa 110 Brownsville IDEA Riverview 2
Lyford 124 Vanguard Alamo 0
Brownsville IDEA Frontier 113 Vanguard Alamo 6
Lyford 89 IDEA Riverview 11
Santa Rosa 147 Weslaco IDEA Pike 47
IDEA Frontier 104 IDEA Riverview 9
Lyford 86 IDEA Riverview 8
Santa Rosa 114 Edinburg IDEA Quest 43
Santa Rosa 123 Weslaco IDEA Pike 44

Santa Rosa is averaging 105.2 ppg in District play

Most charter can't compete in most UIL districts. The Uplift schools in Dallas are a prime example. Bad apples like Prime Prep and AAA Academy ruined the whole system.

Also Santa Rosa has become a very good basketball school for several years now. Is Lyford also pretty good this season?
