Nothing has been decided on the El Campo-Royal girls basketball District 25-4A game started on Wednesday in Brookshire.
The game was postponed in the third quarter when a altercation between two players who were both ejected. Then there was pushing and shoving between between the other players before action started up again.
A decision of what will happen will most likely be made next week when school starts up again.

When a similar incident happened about 15 years ago between East Bernard and Boling boys, it resulted with a double forfeit and both teams were given losses in the district standings.

It will be interesting to see if that happens in this case or will the game be restarted. Royal was leading by three points with the scoreboard clock out of order and the officials keeping time on the court.

This was a first round game with the two teams scheduled to play in El Campo in the second round.

El Campo had a 3-0 district record and hosts Sealy Friday night and Royal is 2-0 and plays at winless Fulshear

It will be interesting to see what Friday's game will be like in El Campo. Royal has lost another district game to Sealy before pounding Wharton 84-37 on Tuesday.
