I have noticed that several will post all year long especially when their local teams are doing well , but when their season ends be it not qualifying for playoffs or getting beat in the playoffs they just stop participating as if football season is done. I just want to encourage them to keep participating , be a part of the discussion all the way till end of the State Title game. That is what makes this place fun and just because your team got beat does not mean you cannot have fun maybe cheering for another , or just picking winners and losers for the next week. I hate it when we get down to the best part of the season the only ones that are posting are from those teams that are still in the hunt. Just my 2 cents !

I agree 100% ... In the past, I've allowed myself a customary 24-36 hour 'cooling off/mourning period' Of Course, I would congratulate the winner then take my quick period off lol

I check in regularly, and usually post regularly. In the offseason, it dies off tremendously. That is when I believe just about any subject should be acceptable because sports is not the only thing to discuss. I am a proponent of combining all subjects, especially in the offseason.

I just think its fun when we break down and discuss these big games even if my team is not participating. I especially love talking about other classifications and who will win and why. It just is more fun when there are more participating and when you just drop off the radar after your team gets beat then it just does not look good especially if you were on here almost weekly or daily before your team got beat. It is just a football game so have fun with it !!!

You can walk away, but we’re always gonna “pull you back in.” Dude, you’re one of the reasons I check in....to see what crazy pic you might post.....and the multitude of..................’s, plus I’m just a high school football forum junkie.

I knew my team was gonna lose more games than they were gonna win before the season ever started..........Tommyball oinks!

No such thing as a Waco La Vega fan...........just saying; y’all know how I’m am about the “Waco” thing, kinda like Rabid and China Springs

But you are correct sir, there ain’t no La Vega folks on here. I’m the only Robinson and FBfanatic is the only Lorena. I think he & I are the only ones from any of the teams in our current district, though I could be wrong......it has been known to happen.....from time to time.

i usually still attend games in the area and sometimes will travel to see a good matchup or if i had something in that area already i'll go see a HS game. I also do that with baseball.

Yup, the ol' Cam has been a few places...hey, by any chance, were you at the PI / Gregory Portland game played at Donna Redskin stadium???.....back around the late 70's or early 80's.....don't recall exactly when but GP put a nasty whoopin' on PI that day.......anyways, I was there with my dad rootin' for the Tarpons......it was a packed house!!!

Yes I heard that this morning that they beat La Grange 55-33 and they play Fulshear Friday to open 25-4A play. Wharton is down this year and has a new coach as well. The dist rict without Bay City who is in Region III, is a weak one. Sealy, Needville, Stafford and Royal are down this year too so EC could go 10-0

Things change each football season.

To get this back on Celina8's question you see big swings depending on not only team strength but sometimes much more on proud parents who support their child and want to absorb everything being said about their team and others.
Look back at Brownwood in the 2008 drop down year. From 08 to 11 somedays it looked more like the Brownwood Lions Downlow. Graham comes to mind as having had a mass of posters shortly after.

I have been a regular observer/poster since we moved over in '08, however I was just about the only Brownwood poster on here this year. As an old timer who lived through the late 60's and 70's area here I am just a fan who remembers the days that we now get kidded about If we mention it. I just like to follow the Lions and remember.

Hell, 20 years from now when I'm worm dirt a Carthage Fan will be on here with Venus and Progressive fans yelling their living in the past!;)
