Txdl Weekly Pick'em - 2018 Edition - Playoffs Fourth Round

Round 3 overall was a pretty good week - getting down to the end of the season - it went by fast this year.

Last week's most correctly picked games were Liberty Hill, Carthage, Brock, and Washington - everyone got those right.
Last week's most incorrectly picked game was Grandview over Franklin - only 2 got that one right.

Thanks to everyone who picked Tarleton - the bad weather got the best of them. They were up 10-0 at half and by the time the second half started there was 3-6 inches of snow on the field and never could get anything going. The final was 10-13. It was a fun ride while it lasted, they should be good next year though.

I guess you added the totals up AFTER the games last week and posted them on last week's thread and then carried them forward to this week's thread also.....so the same numbers on Overall Season Leaderboard are showing up the same on both last week's and this week's threads.

oh - yeah i name the jpeg file the same (season_overall.jpg) and it will overwrite the file on the web share so everywhere that links to it will show the most current version

I was just doing a little digging on one of the games. Decatur gives up more points than Gilmer. I mean they have been in some shootouts, and they have been on the wrong end of some huge blowouts. How in the heck they make a regional final???

both region 1 divisions are terrible and will get blown out in the semi finals

For the life of me, I can't understand why people around our town won't get behind, or even demand having a change in our defensive philosophy. We haven't been very good on that side of the ball in a looooooonnnnng time. We have poor technique and look lost out there most of the time. The ONLY reason we have won 3 state championships is because of exceptional D1 talent, in my opinion. I have seen MUCH less talented teams field much better defenses. There was a time when we were very well known for defense.
