He may be talking about the Regular Season's final standings which I believe was Nebraska, so they should be the 'Regular Season' Big 12 Champs...

So, if that's how it works, which I believe it is, then the Longhorns are the Big 12 Tourney Champions...

Texas is the Tourney Champ, Nebraska is the Big 12 season champ. Apparently the season means more, as both Nebraska and A&M, 1st and 2nd in the conference, got more respect than Texas. All 3 host a regional, but if they advance, Texas would have to go to #1 FSU. A&M would have to go to #5 Rice, and Neb would have to go to #4 Auburn. This, of course, is assuming that the top seeds advance, which is by no means automatic. I was a little surprised to see none of the Big 12 teams seeded to host a Super Regional, they could only do that if a top seed was knocked out. I'm also a bit worried about my Ags. They get the Regional, but have to host Houston and Bama, 2 pretty solid teams.

Oh well, should be fun, Go Ags.

THats stupid....the tourney should be all that matters. It doesnt matter if you win every game of the regular season, if you cant win the games thatmatter in the tourney...you shouldnt be labled "big 12 champs". Only the one that wins the tourney should have that title!

The tournament champs get the automatic bid to the NCAA tournament, and that's Texas, so they're Big 12 Champions.
