- I see several close games. Probably will be several changes in positions in next few weeks.

Dist 5 -- China Spring - Brownwood close could swap.

Dist 6 -- Kennedale - Benbrook could swap, Benbrook - Castleberry could swap, Castleberry - Lake Worth could swap.

Dist 7 -- Argyle has couple of challengers yet to play - Paris and Melissa. These 3 could swap around.

Dist 8 -- Alvarado - Wilmer-Hutchins can go either way. Ranchview - D. Carter can go either way. D. Pinkston in some close games, could challenge for Playoff spot.

Looks like La Vega, Melissa, Kennedale and Paris for the upper bracket winner vs Argyle, Brownwood, Celina, and Stephenville for the lower bracket winner for this region......unless Brownwood comes out of the woods(no pun intended). China Spring, Kennedale, Brownwood, and Alvarado are all wild cards in this region.

China Spring probably won't make the playoffs. They'll lose to La Vega this week and have 3 district losses with a losable game vs Brownwood to go. The game vs Gatesville was essentially a playoff game for the fourth spot.
La Vega is in.
Gatesville will probably finish with 3 losses but have the head to head vs CS.
Even if Stephenville loses their next two (vs BW and Gatesville) and have three losses, they have the head to head vs CS.
The only way they get in is if they beat La Vega this week and beat Brownwood in the season finale (I think).

yeah - I think CS has to get to two wins because they lose head to head with stephenville and gatesville

This is one scenario and this assumes Stephenville wins out and Brownwood beats CS next week:

Now - assuming Stephenville wins out again but CS manages to beat Brownwood then I'm not sure who gets in because

LV 4-0
SV 3-1
BW 1-3 win over GV
GV 1-3 win over CS
CS 1-3 win over BW

I'm not sure what the tie breaker is for those last two spots


Can't assume anything in this district though. Just gotta win and play yourself in.

China Spring has to win in season finale vs Brownwood to force a tie for third - if they lose, they're out. If they win, they likely force a 3 way tie for 3rd/4th.

They should win though, Brownwood isn't very good.

I'm wondering if Alvarado has turned the corner in the middle of the season......or if they just have been playing in a very weak district. I'm mean we know they are playing in a very weak district, but what we don't know is how good they could be. We've all seen it happen before.......a team loses their predistrict games early because of a tough schedule or this or that, then start winning every game after that......even if it's against whatever schedule they have. Then come playoff time.......surprise, surprise, surprise.
