Pretty good looking rankings here. Nice to see the Tarpons showing up on the Regional radar again. Surprised to see West Oso up there, though. Their non-district schedule isn't anything to write home about, though to be fair to the "Howling Bear", their 2 losses are to teams currently undefeated. IMO, they'll be brought back down to earth once district rolls around. I think we'll see Rockport back up in the Regional rankings by the end of the regular season.

I think Orange Grove will give West Oso a thumping this week. R-F and Sinton square off so we will see if R-F is the top dog. I think Sinton will wake up and give them a tough time.

I know both Rockport and Sinton had pretty tough non-district schedules.

The thing that makes me think Rockport is the better of the two is this: Rockport was competitive in their losses. Losses by 5 to Alice and El Campo, loss by 7 to La Vernia, loss by 12 to Goliad who is very highly rated in 3A. Now, compare those losses to Sinton's losses.......47-13 to La Vernia, 50-22 to CC Miller, 52-14 to Beeville, 61-27 to Yoakum and in the majority of those losses, Sinton didn't score until the other team put in backups.

So unless Sinton can find a way to score points on starters on good football teams, I don't see them beating Rockport this week.

I do, however, agree with your statement about Orange Grove giving West Oso a good thumping this week.

The other teams have sub in 4th qtr but Sinton didnt score. One thing you're missing is Rockport is a team with almost the whole team back and Sinton gaining experience each game with alot of starters getting their taste of varsity. Certain times on offense they'll have 3 freshmen and a soph on offense. Sinton did go to their backup qb from last year starting Beeville game and has done better job of running the offense slowly but improving.

Yoakum game it was all against their starters as was Beeville and La Vernia the touchdowns scored. Rockport only averages 19 pts a game and most point score is 33pts against Aransas Pass.

Not counting Bruni, Sinton is also averaging 19 points a game with the highest game being 27 points.
